During the course of the growing season, certain deciduous shrubbery, (viburnum, forsythia, dogwood, etc.) and evergreens (taxus, juniper, etc.) under 5″ caliper require additional trimming to retain a maintained appearance. Except for desired hedges, or to conform to design intent, all pruning and thinning of plants will be done to retain their natural shapes. All debris generated is raked up and removed or disposed of in dumpsters or wooded areas if available.

Shrubbery and ornamental trees that have developed new growth by mid-summer are pruned accordingly.

A final light pruning is performed in early fall. (This is important for most trees and shrubbery, preparing them for winter dormancy and leaving your property looking great over winter).

Extensive thinning, correction of “shear and ball”, or cutting back may be required for those plants that have overgrown their desired area. You will be notified by the Account Manager that winter pruning is suggested and of the additional cost to the customer.

Note: Large trees 15 or more feet in height are excluded from this program. In the event that large trees need pruning or removal, we will have a tree specialist assist us in meeting your needs. Excessive debris will result in additional handling and dumping fees.
